Instructors

Dr. Fein holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from MIT and a PhD in mathematics from NYU. He recently retired from a position as a mathematics professor at Brooklyn College and continues to work as an adjunct mathematics instructor at the University of Bridgeport. Previously, Dr. Fein worked as a fixed income analyst for Bloomberg, Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank. His experience also includes teaching courses in bond math and elementary options theory at Merrill Lynch and undergraduate courses in discrete math, mathematical thinking and calculus at NYU. Dr. Fein has tutored My Tutor and Me students in math since 2004.

Dr. McKim earned his PhD in classics and philosophy from Princeton University. He also holds an honors BA from the University of Toronto where he won the Governor General’s Medal for the best degree in any field of study. His teaching experience includes several years as an assistant professor at the University of Texas at Austin, a professor at Western Connecticut State University and a film lecturer. As a tutor, Dr. McKim specializes in literature, composition, Latin, and the LSAT. He is also a writing coach, including for college and grad school admissions essays. He has tutored writing and coached essay writing with My Tutor and Me since 2008.

Drew graduated cum laude with honors in English from Yale University where he was awarded the Saybrook Fellows Prize and has a master’s degree in teaching from Sacred Heart University. In addition to teaching high school English, Drew is an award-winning writer, actor and director. His credits include Broadway, Saturday Night Live and the major motion picture “Nickel Mountain”. Drew is a member of the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild. As a tutor Drew’s areas of expertise include humanities, writing and higher order critical thinking. He lives in Fairfield County with his family and has worked with My Tutor and Me since 2006.

Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he studied economics and biological science. He has twenty years of experience helping high school and college students prepare for tests in difficult math, science and economics courses. Jonathan is also a top 1 percent scorer on the MCAT exam and tutors college students in both premedical and economics programs. In addition to the MCAT, Jonathan is an instructor for the AP math, science and economics exams as well as the SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE and SHSAT tests. Jonathan is also the academic director at My Tutor and Me and has worked with My Tutor and Me since 2006.
