Instructor Biographies
Admission Essays/English
Rick earned his PhD in classics and philosophy from Princeton University. Rick also holds an honors BA from the University of Toronto where he won the Governor General’s Medal. Following school, Rick worked as an assistant professor at the University of Texas and was a junior fellow at the Center for Hellenistic Studies in Washington. His teaching experience includes nearly two decades as a private tutor specializing in english literature, latin, the LSAT, and college admissions essay writing.
College Math
Michael holds a B.S. degree in mathematics from MIT as well as a PhD in mathematics from NYU. Currently, Michael is a mathematics instructor at Brooklyn College and an adjunct instructor of mathematics at the University of Bridgeport. Previously, Michael worked as a fixed income analyst for Bloomberg, Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank. His experience also includes teaching bond math and elementary options theory at Merrill Lynch, and discrete math and calculus at NYU.
Science, Math and Econ
Jonathan is a graduate of the University of Chicago where he studied economics and biological science. Jonathan has over a decade of experience tutoring high school and college students in math, science and economics. Additionally, Jonathan is a top one percent scorer on the MCAT exam and tutors college students preparing for medical school and graduate programs in science. In addition to the MCAT, Jonathan is an instructor for the AP math and science exams as well as the SAT, GRE and ACT exams.
Physics and Math
Bozidar holds a PhD in Physics from Boston University. Currently, Bozidar runs his own financial firm and was an adjunct professor of finance at Manhattanville College from 2009 – 2017 as well as an adjunct professor of physics at SUNY Purchase from 2009 – 2012. In the finance industry, Bozidar has worked as an executive director of quantitative strategy at Morgan Stanley and a Vice President at Brown Brothers Harriman. Bozidar has tutored math, physics and finance with My Tutor and Me since 2009.
Admission Essays/Writing
Drew graduated cum laude with honors from Yale University where he was awarded the Saybrook Fellows Prize and has a master’s degree in teaching from Sacred Heart University. Areas of expertise include humanities, writing and higher order critical thinking. Drew is an award-winning professional writer with many credits as a playwright, screenwriter, and published author, as well as an actor and director. Drew is a member of the Writers Guild of America, the Screen Actors Guild, and the Theatre Artists Workshop. He lives in Fairfield County with his wife and children.
Humanities and ESL
Jyoti is a graduate of NYU Law School and holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Delhi in India. For over ten years, Jyoti worked in the Pupil Services Division of the Westport, CT public school system and taught ESL at Norwalk Community College. She has also worked at the University of Bridgeport as a learning specialist and at Sacred Heart University in their Intensive English Program. At My Tutor and Me, Jyoti tutors middle school and high school humanities and math through algebra. Currently, Jyoti teaches ESL and math at Austin Community College in Texas.
